Our Staff

Our Staff

The most powerful assets to our organization are our dedicated, intelligent and inspiring professionals who show up every day and give it their best. We are proud of all the staff that contribute to the success of Josina Lott Residential & Community Services.

Our group of veteran directors serve as a guiding light to the individuals, other staff and volunteers. In each of the director’s offices there is a portrait of a lighthouse reminding them that their steadfastness serves as navigation for everyone who walks on the property at 120 S. Holland-Sylvania.

Michael Malone - Executive Director

Michael is the lighthouse keeper for Josina Lott Residential & Community Services where his vision has guided the organization since 1996. It is through Michael’s laid back and down to Earth guidance that JLC & RS has continued to thrive during his leadership.

In 1977, shortly after earning a Bachelor's of Education with a focus in special education, Michael began working as a direct care specialist for JLC & RS. He quickly became a qualified mental retardation professional and eventually a program director.

Service work is in Michael’s blood. He has a passion for helping others find their way and a keen sense for motivation. Currently, Michael is the president of the board of directors for The Alzheimer’s Association. He is a former board member for Leadership Toledo. He is active in the Toledo Kiwanis and has been named Kiwanian of the year two times. Michael holds a Masters Degree in Organizational Leadership. His interests include spending time with his family, attending sporting events and reading.

Michael often likes to refer to this quote by a famous native Toledoan, Danny Thomas: “Success has nothing to do with what you gain in life or accomplish for yourself, it’s what you do for others."

Patty’s light has been shining over JLC&RS for over 20 years. She works tirelessly to see that the organization and staff are running like a well-oiled machine. As a 1994 graduate of the University of Toledo, Beth obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in recreation, thus beginning early in her career helping people in need. She worked with young children at the South Toledo YMCA who needed assistance in developing themselves spiritually, emotionally and socially.
